You May Be Wondering

What types of counselling services do you offer?

We provide individual, couple, and family counselling for adults and young adults (13+). Services are tailored to each client and may include talk therapy, trauma-informed support, career and life transition counselling, and more. We also offer sessions in non-traditional settings when appropriate, including nature-based locations and in-home visits.

What are your hours?

We offer flexible hours by appointment, including some evening and weekend availability. Our schedules vary week to week, which allows us to better accommodate clients with different needs and responsibilities. We’ll work with you to find a time that fits your life.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments without notice may be subject to a fee. We understand that life happens—just let us know as soon as you can, and we’ll do our best to find a new time that works for you.

What types of issues do your counselling services address?

Between the two of us, we support a wide range of concerns, including anxiety and performance anxiety, depression and low mood, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, addiction and recovery, family and relationship challenges, career or vocational stress, life transitions, and burnout. If you’re unsure whether we’re a fit for your specific concern, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to talk it through with you.

How do I get started?

To get started, simply complete our online self-referral form. In it, we ask a few basic questions to ensure we’re the right fit for your needs, and if so, we’ll set up a time to meet—either in person or virtually.

Do you accept insurance or benefits coverage?

Yes—many extended health benefits plans in Ontario cover counselling services provided by a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW). Before your first appointment, we recommend checking with your provider to confirm:
– Whether MSW/RSW services are covered
– The amount or number of sessions covered per year
– Whether a physician’s referral is required for reimbursement
We do not offer direct billing at this time, but we will provide a detailed receipt after each session that you can submit for reimbursement.

Where are you located?

Our office is based in Stratford, Ontario. We offer in-person sessions locally and virtual sessions for clients across Ontario. For clients facing barriers to traditional in-office visits, we may be able to meet in alternative locations or even in your home—let’s talk about what works best for you.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what brought you to counselling, your goals, and any specific concerns or questions you have. It’s a relaxed, pressure-free space where you’re invited to share at your own pace. We’ll also go over logistics like confidentiality, session structure, and next steps.

What are your fees?

Our standard session fees are:
– Individual counselling: $150 per 50-minute session
– Couples or family counselling: $200 per 75-minute session
– Extended individual sessions (75 minutes): Available by request
We accept payment by e-transfer, cash, or cheque at the time of service.
